Both modems work well, the only difference is what your intentions are for the modem. If you plan on keeping your current
computer for a while then an internal modem may work well. However, if you plan on getting a new computer or you want to
use the modem to connect more then one computer then an external is better for you. The external modem costs more then an
internal but you'll have to either install the internal modem yourself or pay someone to install it.
